Tsifteteli means “:Two Strings”:, or “:double strings”:, something like the strings on a mandolin, bouzouki, twelve string guitar, etc. But the term is generally used to indicate a specific dance rhythm played on a double-stringed instrument. It’:s a female dance, erotic and full of passion. It has the energy of Rock’:n’:Roll and the subtlety of the Near East.
It fits very naturally into many modern dance rhythms. The one we choose just “:clicks”: into the melody very well.
