the elements that make up a person together and then
turning this into sound. That is what we all are. We
are the light, the sound, and elements that make up
the earth. The trace elements of all we are and all we
will ever be resonating throughthe universe for all
time.
That is the world of Trace Element.
ABOUT THE BAND MEMBERS:
NATHAN BALLARD: (Vocals/Lead Guitar) Cr
Nathan Ballard was born 21/11/78 in Camden, N.S.W. His
passion for music evolved early in his life when he
first got his hands on a guitar at age 5. He started
taking serious lessons at age 12 with Gordon Matheson
(played in Liza Minelli's Band) at Gold Coast Music.
In 1993 he completed 6mths of technical lessons and
started teaching guitar in 1994 to 1998. Nathan was in
other bands before TRACE including the HYPNOTIC STATE
1995 - 1996 - This was an originals band, all songs
written by Nathan Ballard. The band played 2 concerts
and then died. The band featured Rick Boulton (Trace
Elements first Bass Player). The next band was VOID
1998 - 1999 - This was an originals band, did first
sessions in a recording studio to record 1st demo. The
band played numerous gigs on the Gold Coasts club
circuit, and became resident band at Rose 'n' Crown
Nightclub. Void featured on NBN local nine news for
band competition.

SCOTT CHAPMAN: Guitar) Fe
Scott Chapman was born 27/08/1975 in Brisbane, QLD.
Scott made his musical debut as member of Trace
Element. He begun teaching himself in 1989 and hasn't
looked back. He has never sought professional training
and prefers to learn on the job. He is an element in
himself

DREW CARR: (Bass) Cu
Drew was born on 08/06/84 in Lismore, N.S.W. He
started to playing classical music from 1993 and was
trained by Peter McLaughlan for 6 years and excelled
as a student. Drew is our natural bass man and forms
part of the vocal harmony team. Drew was in a number
of bands prior to Trace Element including Xylem,
Musi-Kel-Reeds

BEN DORAN: Drums) Se
Ben was born on the 20/04/79 in Tasmania. He is self
taught. Ben is one amazing player and ads the life
blood to the rhythm section. Ben has had great live
experience playing at events like the "Rush Festival"
(Tassie) with the likes of 'The Fauves and Rebecca's
Empire.' . Ben also played in Rogue II , The Bastard
Three. At a ripe old age of 25, the best is yet to
come
