Slimey Things are an experimental pop/ sci-fi rock band currently active within the greater Sydney area. With an energetic and fun stage show, Slimey Things have received much acclaim as one of the most unique acts in Sydney.
The band has existed in various forms for over 5 years, performing extensively around Sydney and the greater Sydney area. Over this time their sound has developed and evolved into an energetic blend of many styles: catchy pop, retro-futuristic rock, Zappa-esque metal ... & other zany stuff.

Recently JJJ radio host and Sydney underground legend Jay Katz, gave their song "Help! I'm in the 80s" airplay. Their music has also received radioplay on Sydney's FBI radio.

Slimey Things have performed to crowd sizes ranging from 30 (early on) to 1000 including Thaldorians from planet Thaldor. (our most recent gigs). They have supported and played with such acts as Darth Vegas (Michael Lira- ex Vicious Hairy Mary), Rica Tetas, Jat Katz, Panda and many more.
