ROMATT PROJECT MATT KEYS & DJ
ROMAIN
(Dj Romain, Matt Keys Echols) For the past
ten years, the dance world has been dancing
and grooving to the deep, soulful, rich sounds of DJ
Romain and Matt "Keys" Echols, collectively
known as RoMatt. In 1997 RoMatt started their
own record label called Faze Records. Faze's
electric tracks exhibit a true feel of thick grooves,
funky bass-lines, and "4 to the floor", no
nonsense drum programming, that has become
the trademark of RoMatt. In addition to Faze, RoMatt
has released over 70 tracks on virtually
every major underground label, including Strictly
Rhythm, Kult, Nervous, King St., Wave Records, and
Sulfuric. RoMatt productions also have
numerous tracks for European labels including Yellow
Records (France), bGlasgow Underground
(Scotland),Midnight Groove (Germany), and
Aminus Records (Italy). The last internatioal success
project was completed for Wave Records un
with a track called 6/8 Drumz. With a sound that
turned the dance industry upside down, the
second Eternal Sun release entitled Share My
Love under Hypo Records. RoMatt Productions, in
association with EN Entertainment, created
the soundtrack for fifth workout video entitled
Dance Club Aerobics. RoMatt also has released a
remix for Atlantic Records called Love Him,
by pop artist Donna Lewis, which hit #1 on the
Billboard dance charts in November 1998.
Currently RoMatt and EN Entertainment are
working on projects for Atlantic Records and the new
Jive Records remix for Britney Spears titled
Sometimes. DJ Romain's natural ear for music,
studio experience, musical knowledge and unrivaled
mixing skills is a complete package
equivalent to Romain takes pride in being a DJ and
remaining true of the art of mixing. While
many other artists, producers, and DJ's in
the industry get caught up in passing gimmicks and
hype, DJ Romain and Matt Keys hold true to
the essence of dance music. DJ Romain brings
the sweet nectar of deep, soulful house music that
found only in the best underground clubs in
the world.
