Richey K and the Major Minors - Rich Man, Poor Man [Instrumental Version]
The dawning of 'Rich Man, Poor Man' was the spawning of a new era. An era which blended 1950's dance-hall blues with dirty electronic elements.
One day back in Easter 2004, Mr. Richardo Khrushchev, fresh from his voyage back from Detroit 1954, realised that if he didn't want to play his guitar through an entire track, then he could just play one note, and pitchshift it.
The result was this: a grinding, pseudo-neurotic clank of guitar, which is tantamount to Richey K's (and his Major Minors') 'love em or rape em' philosophy.
While 'D.I.Y or die' at its most questionable, 'Rich Man, Poor Man' will become the 4th in the great electornica trilogy, aside 'I Feel Love', 'Blue Monday' and 'Emerge'.
