ABOUT MODEL AIRPLANES
Built up after the demise of their first band
Marzipan, Brandon Sims and Kevin Silverthorne wanted
to create a more diverse sound with a stronger line
up. They teamed up with brothers Chris and Cory
Robertson to form Model Airplanes. After many failed
attempts at finding a consistent drummer, the band
came across Colin Popaduik, who deemed a perfect fit.
This piano driven rock group is taking notes from
musical influences Pavement, Built to Spill, and the
Flaming Lips and are just starting to tap into their
creative abilities. These mellow rockers are in it for
the long run making songwriting their first
priority.
