Mark Rogers has unique ability to create
music which has his stamp of
individuality, yet has a global accessibility. As a
respected producer,songwriter,and
performer, he has left impressions on those who have

innovative. His career to date hasd shown his
diversity to compsoe many songs that

to be written. Says Mark, "You should be
able to listen to a song, and understand what
was goinmg on in the world at that time by feeling the
emotions from that moment." This
authorative emotion in Mark's music is the voice
of experience coupled with a universality that
transcends nationlity. Mark Rogers is known as
the soul to soul forerunner in the top pop/soul
group Hollywood Beyond. Here, he entranced
the media with his idiosyncratic quality of
music toppped by his alluring sense of style. Mark
Rogers has had top ten hits in over
twelve coutries with his first single "What's
the Colour of Money" and had successive hits with his
follow up singles. In the late 80's Mark got
involed with the House movement and within
six months, wrote three house classics that are still
played in dance clubs today. He was
so well received by especially the New York
underground scene, that several major dance
labels in New York offered him contracts. "i
was just kickin' it to pass time" says Mark, "cause
I liked the freedom of exprssion that early
house music had created in London,
especially on the conscious level, but I had just left
Warner Bros. and I wasn't ready to go back
into anther contractual agreement
that soon." So Mark Started his own label in London
and New York and promoted major undergound
parties in London,Tokyo,and Europe. In 1992,
he moved to New York where he met Jon Baker, President
for rap independent label GEESTREET Records.
Jon Baker has spotte hip-hop talent
like PM Dawn, Stereo MC's, Grave Diggers, and
developed them from obscurity to
international stardom. Says Baker, "In Mark Isee a
true talent, who blend R&B with reggae with
a songwritters sensibility of passion that
combines the power of classic artists with a total
modren approach." The culmination of that
growth is a quickly growing body of New work
that establishs Mark Rogers as a artist with a voice
of clarity and passion that must be
heard.
