Mario Più is a DJ- producer from Livorno, Italy. He
loves motorbikes, especially Harley Davidson ones, but
he loves music so much that it's become his job.
Mario’s was firstly influenced by the likes of
Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode and Tangerine Dream and Paul
Oakenfold, Timo Maas and Chris Liebing are his
favourite DJ’s.
He is part of the leading Italian Progressive scene
that includes Mauro Picotto, Saccoman, Bismark, Ricky
Le Roy and Ricky Effe, all of which produce for the
BXR label. His tracks are a true representation of
that sound, a sound that Mario has contributed so much
to forming over the past three years.
Mario Piu’ is not only an long established producer
he’s an international DJ with years of experience
under his belt playing clubs such as the Temple
(Dublin), Matrix (Florence), U60 (Frankfurt), Passion
(UK), Privilege (Ibiza), Slinky (UK), Golden (UK) and
numerous Italian clubs.
This exposure to the world’s clubbing scene has
resulted in Mario Più recently receiving the Award for
Best Techno DJ, which was written in the last edition
of the Red Bull Italian Dance Awards.
Mario uses his extraordinary creative abilities to
excel in his production work creating superb techno
trance records, such as Mario Piu presents More ‘All I
need’, Mario Piu’ presents DJ Arabesque ‘Serendipity’
and ‘Techno Harmony’. Mario’s biggest hit to date,
‘Communication’, which sold over 200,000 units in the
UK landing him a number 5 in the national chart in the
UK at the end of 1999. The track is a true classic on
every dance floor in Europe with its legendary mobile
phone ring wiggling in and out of the track.
‘The Vision’ is another classic dance floor track set
for release on the 26th February 2001 with a vocal
hook that you are destined to be singing and has
already been hammered by the likes of Judge Jules,
Pete Tong and Dave Pearce on Radio One and in the
clubs they grace.
Mario also mixed the compilation album Nukleuz
presents, “Big Room DJ’s” in 2001, in conjunction with
Nick Sentience which brings Mario’s sound to the UK
clubbers once again.
But what does Mario do when he's not working? What
does he like? He describes himself as a quiet person
who loves sleeping, relaxing and listening to all
kinds of music and not just techno. Mario loves Ibiza
and the spirit of the island and longs to go back
every summer. What does Mario dream of? He'd like very
much to remix a famous track by an artist he likes and
admires. Mario is also finishing of his album and
looks forward to it’s release in the new year.
Above all Mario is the perfect Italian gentleman and
has the qualities of a true superstar, which he
definitely is.
