Lord Richard is one of the bright new stars from
Nigeria. Lord Richard is an MGN + Perfect Pitch and
Blue Pie artist.
Richard Akin Shokunbi AKA "Lord Richard" was born in
august 28 1964 in London .England , a Nigerian German
based musician.
Lord Richard's musical experience got started when he
was in High School between the ages of 18 and 19. He
used to spend money on buying reggae albums like Bob
Marley, U Roy and Delroy Wilson just to name a few,
listen to them and sing the songs back to my school
mates. In 1990 he made his way to Germany where he
completed series of apprenticeship and schooling to
brush up his musical talent. He decided tolearn how
to play the guitar and met an American couple at this
time who gave him some musical guidelines. During the
winter months at this time he used to play street
music in order to pay the rent.
The move into the mainstream reggae sound was not so
easy. Lord Richard had found some success with signing
a contract with Sony Music. This did not work out due
to the mismanagement of his then manager. After this
Lord Richard started to spend his time focussing on
building his live act working in night clubs like:

Hoffmann messe.
Cocookies Night Club
Park Cafe Funkedelic
Lord Richard is an MGN, Blue Pie and Perfect Pitch
