The French female spoken vocal is sexy, sexy, sexy. She just carries on. The beat the constant and is accompanied by a very good base line. It goes into some soft sounds and is great for opening an evening.
Dark Angel Late EP Kult Records
Another very inventive release from Kult. Here producers Thomas Colon and Vince McClean come up with a sound that I can only describe as deep techno-house. The sounds are clearly very techno-oriented, yet the mood and feel of the tracks is very deep and driving. Filter sweeps, synth bleeps and edgy sounds are mixed over a solid house groove and the results are very unusual. The B-side mixes feature some weird, eerie vocal samples and an almost dark tribal sensibility. A strange but successful EP, perfect for a smoke filled basement underground vibe. Check it.
