Emmanuel Ekeoma Ebbi (Mane a.k.a Godseed). A native of
Bende L.G.A, in Abia state, Nigeria. Born on the 10th
of January 1979 in a suburban area of Lagos known as
Surulere. Godseed went to school in in Lagos, and also
resides there. He’s has five elder brothers and a
younger brother. His parents’ have been very
supportive of his music throughout his early
childhood.
In the beginning his love for music started as old as
his birth itself. As a star was born, his music
interest started naturally, and loving music as the
Nigerian music evolved, it became a street thing where
natural talents met, at the street-rap storming
sessions with one another to rule in the game.
It all started at a young age for Godseed. He quickly
grew to display a talent. The passion for music
exploded within this Nigerian kid, where in the early
90s he started polishing his skills on the R&B music
and rap to the point of free styling. Gradually he
became very acquainted with the rap game as one of the
best MCs to hit the fast growing Nigerian music
industry.
In the late 90s, he came out with his debut track (“we
dey come”) meaning here we come. This track took the
airwaves by storm. A South African outfit recommended
it to be played on the South African radio stations.
MANE (a.k.a Godseed), couldn’t continue as he had to
put education first to concentrate on his studies, and
this he did by pursuing his academics in Lagos state
university (LASU) to study international relations and
strategic studies. Mane (a.k.a Godseed) is one of the
hot new rising stars to emerge from Nigeria and now on

Godseed is determined to become one the world’s best
artists, and telling the world about the gospel of
Christ Jesus. He is dedicated to helping to raise
upcoming artists that are struggling to make it from
the street. Godseed is dedicated to helping where and
when ever he can to help the needy and those that are
less privileged in life.
Godseed draws on his inspirations from the enigmatic
Tupac, Lyrical Biggy , Nas’ poet and inspirational
Kirk Franklin. He sites his mentors as Jesus Christ,
Apostle Paul and King David.
His thanks in life goes to his parents Mr. & Mrs. O.
A. Ebbi, and God the father, Son and the Holy Spirit
for having the faith in him to bless him with his
musical talents.
