George Llanes knew that he would one day become a DJ
and producer at the tender age of ten and
soon started to DJ birthday parties at the
age of eleven. His style and production are
influenced from growing up in NYC during
the early 80's and 90's. Following his path would lead
him to work closely with some of New
York's premier promoters to showcase his
talents and create nights in NYC hottest
clubs. He has been noted in the press as One of New
York 's hottest uprising
talents and dance teasing and crowd pleasing, one to
watch for in the future. Oscar Poche from
IMIX/ DMA wrote: It's good to see him grow
as a producer. He keeps getting better and
soon the industry will notice and notice
they have, as George continuously brings in great feed
back from the press, both in
the U.S. and U.K. and proves his sellibility
for the labels he works with. George is known for
his unique sound, which blends Latin,
Funk, Jazz, R&B, Gospel and Disco styles.
He has been a producer, engineer, programmer and
songwriter on projects for various
successful labels such as Twisted, Strictly
Rythym, Kult, Elektra, Cutting, Flatline, AV8, 4th
Floor and Todd Terry Records. He was
featured on the Twisted Recordsí ěTwist
This Pussyî compilations 1 and 2, where his single
ěLift Me Upî for Water Chamber was
widely received in Europe and was just
released in June of í99. Remixing is George's
playground where music is transformed into a
spiritual trip. His production is noted
for original drive that puts him in his own
category, the percussive funky drummer. He has been
featured on a showcase garage sampler
where he received critical acclaim for
his remake of the old garage standard Free
man. A man on a quest to touch souls, music
is the way he shares his vision .George has performed
in such clubs as: Limelight, Life,
Tunnel, Decade, Vanity, Red Zone, Deco,
The Ritz, Danceteria, Arena, Octagon,
Bedrocks, The Grand, Cream, Hush, Project
Deep, Carbon, Le Zink, 2 Iís , System, tatoo,
Metronome, Velvet, Studio and many more.
