FEW IN CLUBLAND CAN TAME THIS REMIX HOUSE HIT MACHINE
(NEXT Magazine)
DYNAMIX, a multi Artist act by KULT Records
is a concept originated to combine
underground production skills with mainstream hooks
and melodies for the purpose of Multi-Artist
development. By taking underground dance
and fusing it with commercial crossover elements,
DYNAMIX create music which is both
commercially viable, cutting-edge and live performance
ready. Upon hitting the dancefloors
of New York City with a vengeance in the
year 2000, DYNAMIX's first release, "Don't Want
Another Man" (E. Cumana, A. Harkins, J.
Skaller), featuring vocals by TINA ANN, soared
to #1 on the Billboard Club-Play charts in only six
weeks, with remixes by superstars
VICTOR CALDERONE, PETER RAUHOFER, E.G. and additional
mixes by DYNAMIX (featuring CRAIG MITCHELL's
male vocals). The single was released in
collaboration with *69 Records in the US while
published by KULT Records worldwide. Willy Vela of
DMA Magazine gave the record 4 stars and
called it, "One of the most sought after
underground anthems of the last six months." Radio
stations across the U.S. heavily added the
record to their rotation, including some of
the nations heavyweights such as WKTU (NYC),
WIOQ (Philadelphia), WBBM (Chicago), WBTS (Atlanta),
KTFM (San Antonio), KROX (Austin), KNHC
(Seattle), KIIS (Los Angeles), and
WPYO (Orlando), among others. Entering the Billboard
Maxi-Singles Sales Chart at #45, this debut
release proved that DYNAMIX can move major
units just as well as it can move some serious
hips. The second DYNAMIX single, "Never Get
Me" (E. Cumana, B.Savoni) recorded by NINA
EVE, a newcomer with Star power from Tokyo Japan was
no less of a hurricane and sparked the first
international DYNAMIX single
re-release. In Early 2001, Following on the path blaze
of its maverick predecessor, Nina's vocals
were snatched off at first play & remixed by
house-music legend Junior Vasquez. Tasty remixes were
also delivered by Canada’s
superstars dj's MARK ANTHONY and ALAIN VINET and
Italy's own sensation, E.G. NINA EVE’s first
DYNAMIX single was pressed for Japanese

little lady packs a loud sets of pipes and it

TINA ANN, how did you get into singing? (experiences
/ training)
Chorus was always the highlight of my day in
elementary school. I once thought it would be
the coolest thing if I was a red headed orphan,
named Annie. I thought you were suppose to
walk around singing everything you wanted to
say. I was part of school plays, such as, Fiddler on
the Roof. I was the lead vocal
playing the part of Grandma Zittle in the dream
scene, and the younger daughter Balky. At the age of
eight, I began to experience the
world of dance. Ballet, tap, jazz, and musical
theater. I studied at the Greg Berge studio
in Bellmore. I remember one of the dance routines
was to the song Pink Cadillac. I performed
in dance recitals and plays. Such as, Bye,
Bye Birdie. At around the age of 12, I started to take
piano and from there vocal lessons.
Most of my material at first were classical
operatic pieces. Which seriously lacked any kind of
beat you could dance to. In high
school I always remained in chorus rather than art. In
chorus there were tons of performances, as
well as, solos and duets. From classics,
such as, Phantom of the Opera to medley's of the
Supremes. I participated in all the talent
shows. Performing cover songs mostly by Sarah
MacLaughlin, Tori Amos, and Mariah
Carey. While in High School I was going to attend
The Manhattan School of Music in the summers but
do to circumstances was not able to.
After graduating High School, I began college at The
New School in Manhattan, where I studied
Classical Music. Then at Eugene Lang,
I studied writing. I have had three different vocal
coaches in the past and continue my vocal
lessons now with my present coach, Mr. Peter Pesco.
At the age of 19, I transferred colleges
and doubled my classes. Leading me to
graduate 5 months after my 20th Birthday In October of
1999, I went to California to record
a demo of three songs. Two cover and one original
ballad, which was written for me. Four months
later I met up with KULT Records and
signed with them in March of 2000.
What /Who has been your major influence?
I have to start with Annie. At the age of
five, I would watch it over and over. I
always loved musicals. The energy that came from a
group of people singing seemed so
amazing. Mariah Carey has incredible range and
beautiful vocals. I have a great
appreciation for truly talented singers. I was
extremely inspired by Tori Amos,
Sarah MacLaughlin, and Jewel. I believe they know how
to grab the hidden emotion in people and
pull it out with their inspiring
melodies and the truth in their words. My family
though are the ones who have had the
biggest influence on me and my coach Mr.Pesco. They
have all supported and encouraged me
to be me.
What kind of songs would you like to perform/write?
I would like to perform and write a variation
of styles. R&B, Classical, Dance,
Alternative rock, techno. Slow, fast tempos. I
would like to be able to
address all ages and strike the attention of various
groups.
Where would you like " Don't Want Another
Man" to lead you?
Center Stage!
What do you think of Dance and club music?
Clubbing has been apart of my life since I was 15 (
oops) The music is what rules the
night. Insane beats and crazy vocals is what keeps me
up and running till 6am. I like the
different sounds created in mixing club
music. You are able to take a song and bring it to
another level through production.
What else do you do?
Interior Design, Fishing, Construction,
Modeling, Writing, Workout, clubbing,
shopping, most importantly sleeping.
Is singing your ambition or hobby?
My life.
